<< Back to Renovations & Adaptive Reuse

Brown University, Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics

The University's new home for The Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) is located on two floors of a downtown Providence office tower. The centerpiece of the renovation is a presentation wall that allows mathematicians to follow their instincts...and write on the walls. Their work is projected on screens above and captured for later download by students who oversleep or want a second take.

Should the content prove too popular for the 98-seat lecture space, proceedings can be streamed to public gathering space in the lobby by way of digital signage systems, allowing small break-out meetings around the displays.
