Lied Center for the Performing Arts

Since 1990 when the Lied Center opened, productions have changed as dramatically as audience expectations. The Lied Center has wonderful acoustics for symphony and opera – but many of today's productions depend on the use of amplification and don't take into consideration the acoustics of the hall.

A holistic approach considered amplified sound and variable acoustics together in the context of the room's unique acoustic design. The new loudspeaker system resulting from that approach complements the hall's acoustic signature, providing the vocal and music clarity expected by today's sophisticated listeners, and garnering glowing reviews.
