Millennium Park, Jay Pritzker Pavilion

The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park is an outdoor venue accommodating 4,000 in fixed seats and an additional 7,000 on the Great Lawn. As designer of the Pavilion's sound system while with Talaske, Jonathan Laney artfully used his skills of communication and leadership to reach consensus amongst a legion of stakeholders with often competing priorities.

Through Threshold Jonathan continues his service with the Pavilion, assisting the Department of Cultural Affairs with the operation, optimization, and maintenance of the audio systems. The most recent expansion of the system came in collaboration with sound designer Bill Fontana, for a public art scintillation called Soaring Echoes that debuted in the summer of 2012.
