The Tower at PNC Plaza

Envisioning the "Greenest high rise in America" for their new headquarters, PNC took on myriad acoustic challenges, not the least of which is keeping city noise out when the facade vents are open and limiting noise transfer despite communicating floors throughout the building. The facade meets these challenges through selectively sized serpentine pathways air must follow on its way into the building. Showcase features of the project include two conference center floors, an executive office floor, and a double-height floor with a television studio and 250-seat auditorium.
