Kevin T. Watson, CTS-D, Consultant

Kevin traces his roots in audio back two generations – his grandfather ran projection and audio for Abbott and Costello on a Navy base decades ago. Perhaps inspired by his grandfather, and certainly aided by a love for things with many parts and an ability to fix practically anything, he made his first foray into audio by running the sound board and keeping the systems running at his church during middle and high school. He gave up that post for college (Purdue, Electrical and Acoustical Engineering) but shortly thereafter picked up a new one at his present church, where he works as a technical director and occasionally runs the board.

A brief stint in California working on sound isolation and road noise abatement projects followed Purdue and confirmed Kevin’s love for both audio and the Midwest. He came to Chicago to design audio systems (for Kirkegaard Associates before joining Threshold), to aid and comfort the computer-illiterate, and to disarm us with his stealthy wit.
