Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies

Spertus Institute's new home on Michigan Avenue is a ten-story facility of striking presence on an otherwise traditional street facade. It houses a 400-seat auditorium for presentation of historic and modern Jewish film and performances including comedians, dramatic readings, and lectures. Gallery space plays host to presentations of permanent collections and openings for temporary exhibits. Other public venues include a cabaret, bookstore, and gift shop. All events and media can be shared among the floors via the connectivity systems that run through the building's core. Threshold's ongoing work includes the design of new teleconferencing systems for the board room.
