andrew nagel, senior Consultant

Andrew joins Threshold with a background rich in nearly every aspect of technical theatre; those disciplines that most audience members only notice if something doesn’t go quite right. He holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, and the street cred of over 10 years of international AV Systems design -  from Cirque du Soleil productions in China to public plazas in Dubai, with more than several handfuls of successful stateside projects in between.

Andrew has spent his consulting career thus far honing his skills in sound, lighting, and AV design for theatre, as well as conceptual and system design and installation for a myriad of built environments. He has the unique position of being not only an accomplished designer, but an experienced user of the spaces he works with as well. It is a perspective that his clients deeply appreciate.

Through his knack for handling complex collaborative processes, he has extensive experience bringing clients, designers, architects, and artists together. These skills provide him a unique perspective into creative thinking and technical integration for theatrical, audio and video systems for performing arts, entertainment, and specialized event facilities.

Andrew’s down-to-earth approach to AV consulting with a commitment to attainable design scenarios is a philosophy that blends well within Threshold Acoustics.
