Managing Principal

Constance Walker Headshot.jpg

As Managing Principal, Connie oversees project management, architecture, and acoustics, working on memorable projects and overseeing the workflow and operations of so many others. She is fluent in the language of design, project management, and construction and can speak eloquently to design needs and build out realities.

In addition to running the business operations, Connie is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and throughout her architecture career has shared her project management knowledge through teaching. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Prior to joining Threshold, Connie worked as a project architect at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Solomon Cordwell Buenz, and Teng Associates, where she became adept at detailing large institutional and commercial buildings and then defending the details during construction. At Kirkegaard Associates, she used her management magic on the realm of acoustics, working on a series of music and theatre projects of remarkable quality. In a three-year sojourn with Cotter Consulting, she served as the owner’s representative for the University of Chicago during construction of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library, designed by Helmut Jahn. At Threshold, Connie’s infectious laughter is heard across the office, letting us all know things are running smoothly.
