Our relationship with the National Symphony Orchestra began in 2012 with modest improvements related to the new Rubenstein Family Organ. Through the 2013-2014 season, we worked with the NSO and the Kennedy Center presenting organizations to consider what improvements may be available for all users of the venue. The study took place over the course of the entire season, culminating in mock-ups installed for a concert weekend to demonstrate key improvements for inclusion in future renovations of the concert hall.
The project advanced into a planning assessment of the entire performing arts center, resulting in a refreshed five-year plan for the facility that includes our recommended upgrades for the concert hall.
