Palmer House Hilton Hotel, Grand & State Ballrooms
When the historic Palmer House Hilton undertook their $170 million dollar renovation, they turned to Threshold to update the acoustics and AV of the iconic Red Lacquer Room and the combinable Grand and State Ballrooms. With a focus on simplification of operation and integration with the existing aesthetic, Threshold’s design incorporated reimplementation of some existing AV gear combined with new custom equipment that maintained the visual continuity of the spaces. The new audio system design features custom colored speakers to match existing finishes and a PA system that aligns with the ballroom columns that are not mirrored to reduce the visual presence of the system. The new system was designed for a wide variety of programming requirements, reducing the need for rental equipment and returning ongoing financial benefit to Hilton.
