Shure brought Threshold on to design acoustics and AV systems for a new 150-seat theatre, tucked into an unused space within the lobby of the main building, to use for both corporate events and intimate performances by Shure’s team. In response to the room’s simple lines and meticulous detailing, acoustic treatments were carefully integrated into the millwork so that competing aesthetic demands for taut acoustics and hardwood finishes can peacefully coexist.

AV systems are a hybrid of performance and presentation systems, allowing for a concert or presentation of intricate technical details using a 3-D document camera that provides large-scale display of small objects. Presentation systems include a fully outfitted smart podium, confidence monitor, and display cart that provides a “kitchen show” view to facilitate the presentation of microphones and microphone parts in an interactive way, while the concert system includes a Meyer Sound Left-Center-Right loudspeaker.
