A 1,300-seat auditorium forms the centerpiece of St. Agnes’s 2018 campus expansion. The new facility supports the everyday activities of student life including assemblies, presentations and religious services throughout the school day. In the evening, the theatre provides performance space for joint choral and musical productions of St. Agnes and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.

Dual projection screens flanking the stage provide image magnification for mass without interrupting the visual frame of the proscenium. AV presentation systems and an operable wall at the balcony face allow the 300-seat balcony to double as a lecture hall and meeting space while the stage is used for rehearsals.

With the construction of the new theatre, the school’s existing auditorium was re-purposed into a student life center in the former audience chamber and an actor’s lab on what was once the stage. Practice rooms, a dance studio, classrooms and speech/debate space supporting the communications curriculum round out the expansion’s program.
